Fuerteventura Forum :: Holiday

Help with best beaches, hotels and clothing optional beaches - first time visitor Thinking of visiting in March, with my wife. Will it be warm enough for quite a lot of beach time? Have been told the south of the island is best?

Looking for the best nudist/clothing optional beaches and maybe hotels with nudist areas.
Any help appreciated. Did same (ie forum) for other canary Islands previous years (but not in March!) and got lots of helpful advice.
Thank you in advance
John

Hi John and welcome to this board!

Unfortunately this is a very new portal, so we need a bit more members, expecially from the different islands - but we are growing steadily :-)

The general climate is a bit of equal over the islands in respect to the local temperatures and wind spikes. Fuerte is not the "hottest" island, but normally in march weather tends to come warmer. If it is enough for you to spend the day on the beach may depend on your personal feelings.

Normally(!) rain time is over in march and there should be a good chance to have warm, sunny days.

As you already mentioned: South is always better because the wind (and colder air) is coming from north. There are some good satelite images which does show that very well. Fuerte does not have many mountains, that's way there is more wind than on the other islands where the mountains tend to "block" the winds from the south of the island.

I hope, I was able to give you a bit of help, even when I am not from Fuerteventura.
